We offer one day to one week or more skippered charters aboard our boats in Calgary or at the West Coast. Go on a skippered cruise with family or friends in Calgary aboard our 23 foot sloop, Soryu, to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or just your Friday off. We take you out for an afternoon, evening or a day cruise so that you can experience the wonderful world of sailing. All the safety gear is provided along with a certified CYA Skipper. Join us out in the Gulf Islands of BC or the San Juan Islands in Washington for a skippered charter aboard our 35 foot sloop, Good Idea. You join Cap’n Dave out of Victoria and sail for a day or as long as you want out in the islands staying aboard our yacht as we cruise from port to port enjoying the hospitality, the seafood and the sights and attractions available. This is a great way to build on your experience from the Learn to Cruise courses or just relax and get pampered. Berth, breakfast and lunch are included in the charter fee. For dinners we dine ashore in one of the many fine restaurants in the islands. These cruises start as low as $200/person/day with further discounts for larger groups or longer charters.

You join us for an extended weekend and we'll take you away from all those woes back at home with healthy injections of island life while cruising in some of the world's most exotic ports. These four day get-aways put you aboard Good Idea our 35 foot Yamaha as we sail in the Gulf or San Juan Islands. It includes your accommodation, your breakfast and lunch and the adventure of cruising in one of the world’s best venues. Although these start as early as March, September Cruising is great after the maddening crowds have gone home and the weather is still great !! These cruises cost as little as $200/day/person with further discounts for family or extended cruises.
DAY EXPERIENCES -- Am I a Sailor? Do I really want to get involved in Sailing? Try it for a day before you commit. Get out with a skipper and let him show you how easy sailing really can be. Be careful, as this is a slippery slope and once you have tried it is hard to walk away from our courses or further charters. This wonderful opportunity starts as low as $75/person.
BAREBOAT CHARTERS -- We do offer limited Bareboat Charters here in Calgary for sailors who wish to hone their skills and gain further experience aboard Soryu. Depending on your certifications and experience on Glenmore, a skippered charter may be necessary to acquaint you with docking and picking up moorings without the aid of a motor. These charters can be arranged for a one week or for five days spread out over the summer. Prices are as low as $800.
Although we no longer offer bareboat charters at the west coast we can help you arrange one or discuss bareboat charters worldwide. We also help you prepare for your charter through catch ups or advancement of your prerequisites like Coastal Navigation reviews, VHF Radio endorsements and discussions of venues and attractions.
